Badge
Dark red is the colour of the 5th Canadian Division. The blockhouse is a distinctive historical military structure found within every province of Atlantic Canada. The moose symbolizes the wildlife of the area in which CFB Gagetown, the headquarters of the Support Group, is located. The blockhouse, moose head and motto are taken from the badge of the 3 Area Support Group, the predecessor unit.
