The arms are those of the Chief of the Clan Macdonnell of Glengarry made unique by the addition of the border.

This is the crest of the Chief of the Clan Macdonnell of Glengarry with the colour of the rock changed from blue to red. It illustrates the motto CRAGGAN AN FHITHICH, meaning “The cliffs of the raven.”

Motto

CRAGGAN AN FHITHICH is a Scots Gaelic phrase meaning “The cliffs of the raven” and is used by the Clan Macdonnell of Glengarry.
