Symbolism
Badge
The osprey is a bird of prey found in the Kingston area and honours the VC 921 flying squadron which was commissioned in 1953 as a tender to Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship Cataraqui. The Martello tower recalls that the squadron operated out of the Kingston Flying Club until the unit was decommissioned in 1959. The anchor symbolizes the naval history of the Association.
Motto
This Latin phrase means “Wings in reserve.”
