The V-42 dagger, originally issued to members of the First Special Service Force in the Second World War, is the symbol of the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command. The dragon is a symbol associated with chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear operators and the work they do. Associated with the unknown, it symbolizes the risks undertaken by these operators.
