Symbolism

Arms

The staircase represents leadership and the idea of moving toward the summit. Its steps represent stages, challenges overcome and successive achievements. The chequerboard pattern symbolizes strategic decisions and planning. It conveys a mosaic of clients, people and work teams united in purpose. It illustrates the people in our personal network who surround us, family members and friends. The star symbolizes leadership and success and represents multiple ongoing projects, aspirations and dreams. The star is also a very old symbol of Italy, Mtre Di Lorenzo’s ancestral homeland. The gold ring represents the international aspect of her education and the international work she has done in every post she has held throughout her career.

Crest

The scales represent Mtre Di Lorenzo’s profession as a lawyer and her long career in the fields of justice and law. The tower is a symbol of protection and gathering, alluding to Mtre Di Lorenzo’s maternal grandfather’s work in construction. It is also an attribute of Italia turrita, a centuries-old figure representing Italy. The pearls in the crown represent the family members and friends who are dear to us and surround us. The stars symbolize leadership.

Supporters

The snow leopards, which are majestic and powerful felines, symbolize action and vitality. The fleurs-de-lis represent Quebec, Mtre Di Lorenzo’s birth province. The maple leaves represent Canada.

Motto

This Latin phrase means “To dare is to do.”
