Symbolism

Arms

The Canadian Heraldic Authority does not have confirmed symbolism for this emblem. The following comments are hypotheses only. The black field and three white crescents are traditional elements of the coats of arms of Harris families. The swords possibly refer to Mr. Harris’s military service. The couped saltire possibly evokes St. Andrew’s College, in Aurora, Ontario, where Mr. Harris studied.
