Symbolism
Badge
Mercury, the messenger of the gods, and the lightning flashes represent communications and electronics. The Royal Crown symbolizes service to the Sovereign. The badge frame composed of one or two wings, a laurel wreath and the Royal Crown is common to all trade and occupational badges of the Canadian Armed Forces.
