The Royal Monogram EIIR and the Royal Crown are personal emblems of The Queen. The light grey colour of the number 70 alludes to platinum. The seven-sided figures, maple leaves and pearls celebrate the seven decades of Her Majesty’s reign. The rounded edges of the figures resemble the petals of a flower, symbolizing a celebration. The shape also evokes a cake, often associated with festive occasions. The maple leaves are a reference to Canada and convey the idea of fireworks.
