Symbolism

Badge

The arms of the City of Stratford feature symbols honouring Stratford’s heritage, with the beehive symbol of industry, the spears from the arms of William Shakespeare, and the swans that can be seen on the Avon River. The Royal Crown symbolizes the fact that the department assists in the administration of the Crown’s justice, while the maple leaves and trillium flower are references to Canada and to Ontario.

The motto expresses the character of the Police Service's mission.
