Symbolism

Arms

This composition is based on arms commonly used by persons bearing the surname Rowe who were originally from Derbyshire, in England. The arms are made unique to Mr. Rowe by the addition of the anchor, which symbolizes his service as a naval officer during the Second World War, as well as his great-great-grandfather’s position as a mounted Coast Guard officer in England.

Crest

This is the crest used by the Derbyshire branches of the Rowe family.

Motto

This Spanish phrase means “There is no life like honour.”
