Symbolism
Arms
The green and yellow shield is inspired by the coat of arms of Saskatchewan, Mr. Coward’s home province. The maple leaves represent his Canadian nationality. The cows allude to the name Coward, derived from the word “cowherd.”
Crest
The anchors allude to Mr. Coward’s service in the Canadian Merchant Navy.
