Symbolism

Badge

This refers to the profession of Mr. Nanos, that of operating a marketing and public opinion research firm. The ear-trumpet is an ear instrument of great antiquity, much used in war and military exercises, and of great value in aiding listening. The diamond has symbolic characteristics of moral and intellectual knowledge, intelligence, lucidity, and frankness. The badge represents the actions of listening in order to gather knowledge and then to lucidly explain or condense this information. The counsel provided by Mr. Nanos is sought after and held in high regard.
