Symbolism
Badge
The Crown represents service to the Sovereign. The tank represents the regiment’s origins as an infantry tank unit. The crossed carbines are taken from the badge of the 3rd Carabiniers (Prince of Wales’s Dragoon Guards) (now The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys)) and represent the regiment’s alliance with that unit. “THE WINDSOR REGIMENT” is a form of the regimental title.
Motto
Meaning “Always prepared”.
