Arms
The three bells in the shield have a long history for Saint-Fabien-de-Panet and specifically in connection with the municipality’s parish. The bells were blessed and received the following designations: Jeanne D’Arc, Louis Nazaire Fabien and Eugéne Gustave, the latter two being named after the priests who served at the church. The green and yellow colours recall the abundant vegetation characteristic of Saint-Fabien-de-Panet, which is located at the summit of a small mountain in Quebec and is visible from several kilometers away.
Crest
The dove in flight symbolizes the election of Saint Fabian (236-250 C.E.) as Pope. The legend tells the story of a dove landing on the head of Saint Fabian which lead to his selection. This was seen as a direct sign from God. The heart held in the dove’s beak recalls the meaning behind the motto. The dove stands in a mural coronet, establishing that this coat of arms belongs to a municipality.
Motto
Meaning “High in my heart”.
