Symbolism

Badge

The sun with twelve rays alludes to the national emblem of the Republic of China. The square hole creates the illusion that the sun is an ancient Chinese coin and refers to a charge in the coat of arms granted to Mr. Mak by the Chief Herald of Canada on 20 March 1990.
