Symbolism

Arms

The colours, gold and blue, refer to Mr. Domander's Swedish heritage. The flames refer to the core of his career in firefighting. The speaking trumpet is a traditional tool of command in the fire service. The arm is armoured for protection, and the naked hand symbolizes honesty.

Crest

The stars symbolize Mr. Domander's degree in astronomy and astrophysics. The dragon is an ancient and popular heraldic symbol, and it indicates his long involvement with firefighting, while the speaking trumpet underlines a historic element of the profession.

Motto

A Latin phrase meaning "I will embrace you forever".
