Symbolism
Arms
The blue alludes to the sea. The star commemorates the Acadian descent of Mr. Arsenault, and the dolphins represent the Gaspé Peninsula, his native region.
Crest
The two anchors recall the mariner occupation of Pierre Arsenault, the first ancestor to arrive in Quebec. The badge of the Fusiliers Mont Royal refers to Mr. Arsenault’s military service in that regiment.
Motto
SEMPER PROCEDENS, meaning “Always forward”, mirrors the motto of the Fusiliers Mont Royal, “NUNQUAM RETRORSUM” which translates as “Never backward”.
