Symbolism

Arms

The colours, green and gold, celebrate Mr. Curran’s Irish ancestry. The cross refers to his Roman Catholic faith, and the ship’s wheel alludes to his involvement with and affection for power boating.

Crest

The stag is a reference to the time Mr. Curran has spent on Stag Island in the St. Clair River. The black drops refer to the petrochemical industry and hence the central part of Mr. Curran’s construction work.
