Symbolism
Arms
The colours are the national colours of Poland and Canada, Dr. Biolik’s birthplace and adopted home. The Korab, or antique galley, is the traditional Polish clan emblem associated with her family. Dr. Biolik’s many contributions to Canada are celebrated through the maple leaves.
Crest
The stag is Dr. Biolik’s favourite animal. The mining hammer and chisel represent her family’s links with mining in Silesia.
Motto
This Polish phrase means “Faith hope love”.
