Arms
The arms represent the Scottish Stewarts and Logans, Mr. Stewart’s paternal and maternal Scottish heritage. The blue and white fess on a gold field honours the Stewart arms and the red heart on a gold field honours the arms of Logan. The dancetty line symbolizes the mountains of British Columbia, the province of Mr. Stewart’s place of residence.
Crest
The unicorn echoes the crest of the Chief of Stewart of Appin, and the bleeding hearts allude to the pierced heart crest of the Chief of the Logans.
Motto
This Latin phrase means "Fortune favours the bold".
