Suspended by the letter “V” from a ribbon Vert Or and Vert, on a silver medal the Arms of the Province of Saskatchewan with the garbs and chief Argent in place of Or surmounting a scroll and ensigned by the Royal Crown Argent its cap Gules and surrounded above by the words NOS IPSOS DEDIMUS, meaning “We gave of ourselves”, and below by the word SASKATCHEWAN;


Symbolism

Insignia - Honour

The Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal has been designed by Jack Glasser of Regina, winner of a provincial competition. It is silver, circular in form, and suspended by a V-shaped clasp from a ribbon of green and gold, the provincial colours.
