Symbolism

Arms

Red is the colour associated with the Holy Spirit. The chevron symbolizes Forest Hill, the “Hill” in the church’s name. The dove is a symbol of God’s grace and thus alludes to the name of the church. The maple leaves indicate the church’s Canadian identity. The book represents Holy Scripture.

Motto

This phrase is taken from the Bible (1 Thess. 5:24).
