Gabrielle Léger has represented unto the Chief Herald of Canada that her late husband, The Right Honourable Jules Léger, Governor General and Commander in Chief of Canada from 1974 to 1979, did use an emblem on his Privy Seal and for other official purposes, which emblem she wishes might be granted and confirmed to the heirs of her late husband so that it may appear by lawful authority on memorials raised to perpetuate his memory and recognize his service.
