Crest

The red maple leaf coronet represents Canada, with the towers as a Malcolm emblem to refer to Mrs. Thom’s family name. The chevrons are an important element found in Scottish arms granted to those with the surname Thom. The horse’s head recalls Mrs. Thom’s affection for riding, and the silk cord represents her mastery of Cordon Bleu cooking.
