Azure a fess dancetty between in chief a fleur-de-lis and in base a French marquis’s coronet Argent;
Crest
Issuant from a coronet of mullets, fleurs-de-lis and maple leaves Argent, a three-masted ship flagged Azure sails Argent its fore-mast topsail charged with a French marquis’s coronet Azure;
Supporters
Dexter a female habitant, sinister a male merchant, both habited in the style of 17th-century New France and standing on a grassy mount set with ears of wheat and dogwood flowers proper;

Symbolism
Arms
The blue shield refers to the French origins of the Marquis family ancestors. The dancetty fess in the form an “M” represents the first letter in the name Marquis. The marquis’s coronet refers to the name of the Association, while the fleur-de-lis represents Quebec, the place where the Association was founded.
Crest
The ship, made unique with the marquis’s coronet on the sail, symbolizes the arrival of the Marquis ancestors in New France. The circle of maple leaves, fleurs-de-lis and stars represents the Marquis family members in Quebec, Canada and the United States.
Supporters
The supporters represent all of the ancestors of the Marquis families. The wheat represents working the land, while the flowers of the bunchberry (Cornus Canadensis), also known as the crackerberry, are medicinal plants found in the conifer forests of Quebec.
Motto
MARQUIS, NOBLES DE CŒUR, meaning “Marquis’s, nobles of the heart,” refers to the generosity, benevolence, understanding and kindness of the family members.
