Symbolism
Arms
The wall and smokestacks represent the smelting and refining industry in the city. The wavy base refers to the geographical setting by the Columbia River.
Crest
The stag represents an animal found in the area. The collar combines the floral symbols of Canada and British Columbia.
Supporters
The two bears represent animals found in the area. The hockey sticks represent the two World Hockey Championships won by Trail teams and the many other hockey championships won by community teams.
Motto
This captures the essence of the community championships.
