Symbolism

Arms

The design is inspired by the well-known arms of the University of Oxford, in England, with the blue background changed to green and the crowns to sheaves of wheat to echo the arms of Saskatchewan. The book embodies knowledge. It displays a Latin phrase that means “For God and country,” which the University has adopted as a motto.
