The red disc symbolizes Mr. Echlin’s position as a Justice of the Superior Court of Justice, the red alluding to the red sash of such a Justice. The balance represents the practice of law. The maple leaves are for Canada and gold roundels refer to Mr. Echlin’s award as “Man of the Year” at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
