Badge
The eagle is a common symbol used in air force badges. The torches are taken from the badges of the former Training Command and 14 Training Group. They illustrate the main functions of the 2 Canadian Air Division: doctrine, training and education. Their number recalls the name of the Division.
Motto
This Latin phrase means “Guardian of knowledge”.
