The Royal Union Badge proper charged with a plate bearing the shield of the Arms of the province of Nova Scotia proper within maple leaves in orle Vert, the whole ensigned by the Royal Crown proper;
Symbolism
Badge
The design, created in the late 1940s, is a shield form of the flag of the Lieutenant-Governor of Nova Scotia, which dates from 1929. The Royal Crown indicates the role of the Honorary Aides-de-Camp in serving the Crown in Right of Nova Scotia.
