Symbolism

Arms

The design is basically that of the Prussian Fo(u)restier arms, to which has been added a border of red and white, the colours of Canada. This marks Mr. Fourestier’s history of public service to Canada, for which he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. The forest and the “forester” make punning references to the Fourestier name.
