Symbolism
Arms
Blue and gold are the favourite colours of Ms. Pichette. The lion symbolizes upholding the law and the crown, reflecting Ms. Pichette’s service as Crown Attorney. The smaller gold shield displaying a cross engrailed is a simplified version of the arms borne by Saint Yves de Kermartin of Brittany, patron saint of lawyers, whose family arms were blazoned "Or a cross engrailed between four alerions Sable".
Motto
The motto, meaning “I will maintain”, refers to Ms. Pichette’s commitment to serve the law.
