Symbolism

Badge

The Royal Crown is a mark of the club’s royal designation. The central device, the letters V and I, is taken from the ensign and refers to Vancouver Island. The annulus contains abbreviations of the club’s name (RVYC) and British Columbia (BC). The laurel wreath is a traditional symbol of victory, which also makes an allusion to the name Victoria.
