The shield of the Arms of the Corporation of the District of West Vancouver (Argent a chevron between three martlets in chief Azure and in base upon water barry wavy Azure and Argent a lymphad in full sail Azure all save the pennons garnished Or) within an annulus Azure edged and inscribed with the Motto in letters Or, all within a wreath of maple leaves Or issuant from a Pacific dogwood flower proper, the whole ensigned by the Royal Crown proper;

Symbolism

Badge

The badge follows the style common to Canadian municipal police services. The shield represents the community served by the Department, the dogwood and maple leaves the Department’s service to British Columbia and to Canada and the Royal Crown the Department’s commitment to uphold the Crown’s law.
