Symbolism

Badge

The design follows the basic pattern for Canadian municipal police badges. The shield of the municipality of Delta represents the community that the department serves, while the maple leaves and dogwood flower symbolize the department’s service to Canada and British Columbia respectively. The Royal Crown refers to the Delta Police Department’s commitment to uphold the Crown’s peace.
