Symbolism
Badge
The white and blue colours and the figure of Mercury are traditionally associated with signals units. White and blue are the historical colours of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, while Mercury, messenger of Roman gods, symbolizes swift communication. The wild roses represent the squadrons that amalgamated to form the regiment. The wild rose is also the floral emblem of Alberta, where the regiment is located.
