Symbolism

Arms

Found in the arms of Ontario and Sudbury, the green and gold allude to Mr. Park’s province of residence and the city where he attended university. The colours are also those of a computer circuit board, indicating his interest in information technology. Green also suggests a park, a pun on his surname. Gold appears in the arms of Hamilton, where Mr. Park was born. The caltrop, a defensive weapon, represents Mr. Park’s defence of his faith, his friends and his family. With its three lower points coming together into a single upper point, it is also for Mr. Park a Trinitarian symbol, representing his ministry as an Anglican priest.

Crest

The colour of the crow represents the black vestments worn by Canon Park in the exercise of his priestly duties. The cross represents his Christian faith and vocation.
