Red and blue are the artillery colours, alluding to Mr. Reichle’s military service in the Canadian Armed Forces, particularly with the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. The fess represents a wall and thus symbolizes the defence of Canada. The three stars evoke other Reichle German arms, as well as airbursts of artillery shells.

Crest

The bear symbolizes Mr. Reichle’s enjoyment of hunting. The hunting horn is based on the one in the badge of the North Saskatchewan Regiment in which he served. The cannonball makes another allusion to Mr. Reichle’s military service.
