Symbolism
Arms
The green colour refers to the grassy fields and trees of the cemetery. The paschal lamb, used extensively around the cemetery, refers to its name and its relationship with St. John’s Church. The Y-shape alludes to the main road within the cemetery, which branches in two. The doves are symbols of peace and hope, and two are kept at the Visitation Centre.
Motto
This phrase is adapted from a prayer in the Anglican burial office.
