The boar alludes to the Clan MacKinnon while the crossed hose symbolize Mr. McKinnon’s membership in both the 1745 Association, which studies the Jacobite period of Scotland, and the Society of West Highland & Island Historical Research, whose goals include publishing research into the history of that area of Scotland.
