Symbolism
Arms
The tree symbolizes the growth and expansion of the Racine family since its origins. Its roots (racines in French) allude to Mr. Racine’s surname. The tree is also the principal charge on the coat of arms of the Racine’s Families Association, of which Mr. Racine is a founding member. The open book symbolizes knowledge, as education is a value that he and his family believe is important to pass on. Knowledge is also a key to empowerment. The fleurs-de-lis represent Mr. Racine’s attachment to France, the country of origin of the Racine family.
Motto
This phrase means “Always persevere”.
