Symbolism

Arms

The pattern of droplets represents Mr. Kains’ thirty-year career in the bottling and beverage industry, most notably with one of Canada’s largest bottlers of soft drinks and with Coca-Cola Ltd. The lozenges evoke Mr. Kains’ three children. They also represent buildings, referring to his work in real estate investing and in property management.

Crest

The stag, taken from the badge of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, recalls Mr. Kains’ involvement with this regiment. The coronet of maple leaves indicates his attachment to Canada, and the branch of maple leaves refers to his three children.

Motto

This phrase embodies Mr. Kains’ philanthropic work.
