Arms
Blue and gold are the colours of the Society, and the lyre, long used as an emblem by the Society, is associated with Orpheus, the great singer from Greek mythology.
Crest
The curtain mantling emphasizes the theatrical mandate of the Society, and the masks are traditional symbols of the two elements of drama, comedy and tragedy.
Supporters
The songbirds and the stage combine the musical and dramatic elements of the Society’s productions.
