Azure two pallets wavy Argent between two piles reversed Gules fimbriated Argent, each charged with two bezants, on a chief Argent a cross Gules surmounted by a roundel Vair;

Symbolism

The triangular shapes with gold discs and white edging, originally found in a design created in 1903 by Edward Marion Chadwick, allude to Yukon’s snow-clad mountains and its rich mineral wealth. The wavy vertical stripes refer to Yukon’s waterways. The red cross on white, the cross of St. George, symbolizes early English explorers. The disc of vair, a heraldic fur, alludes to the fur trade.
Crest
The husky is a local breed of dog, known for its loyalty, stamina and courage, and is important in the history of the territory.
