The osprey is a great fisherman and alludes to the wartime role of the squadron. The billets represent depth charges and also refer to the six submarines sunk by the squadron. The wavy bars illustrate the ocean over which the squadron operated.
Motto
Meaning “We will hunt them even through the lowest deeps”.
