The jaeger inhabits the Arctic and coastal islands, possesses exceptionally keen eyesight, and is extremely aggressive when protecting its territory. It thus represents 22 Wing’s mission to protect Canadian territory and airspace. The lightning bolts symbolize the aerospace defence system’s communications and surveillance devices.
