Symbolism
Arms
The oak symbolizes rebirth as well as stability, two indispensable elements in international relations and protocol. The acorns represent the relationships and networks established by the directorate.
Crest
The phoenix represents the passage of time and the long-term work of the directorate. It also symbolizes history and the cycles of life, as well as the past, the present and the future.
