The Arms of Thomas Edward Fleming charged with a three-point label Argent; This individual will inherit the Arms of the Recipient following his death;
Symbolism
Arms
The chevron is found in arms of other Flemings. Its bow wave shape and the blue represent Mr. Fleming’s career in the Royal Canadian Navy. The Cabot Tower on its rock, located in St. John’s, symbolizes Newfoundland, where Mr. Fleming was born and raised. The Western red lily is the provincial flower of Saskatchewan, where Mr. Fleming resides. The cutlasses represent his service as a member of a Naval Boarding team.
Crest
The goat’s head is found in crests of other Flemings. The naval crown is a further reference to Mr. Fleming’s naval career.
Motto
This motto refers to the same proverb in Flemish.
Flag
The blue colour refers to the waters around Newfoundland.
