Symbolism

Arms

The griffin alludes to Mr. Mueller’s nickname “Gryphn” and to the University of Guelph’s sports team, “the Guelph Griffons”, for which he played and whose colours are red and gold. The gold discs represent coins and his occupation in the financial sector. The emblem supported by the griffin alludes to the Imperial Seal from the Star Wars movies, favourites of Mr. Mueller.

Crest

The mule is a pun on the name Mueller and is symbolic of Mr. Mueller’s personality as a “workhorse”. It also describes his immovability on the playing field.
