Symbolism
Badge
The open book represents training and the pursuit of knowledge. The crossed swords are a reference to the Land Force Command serving both regular and reserve members of the Forces. The bighorn sheep and ears of wheat, recalling the prairies, are taken from the Land Force Western Area badge created in 1998. The ram's head (from the sinister supporter of the arms of British Columbia) and the green field draw on the heritage of the former Canadian Army Western Command.
Motto
Meaning "Excellence".
